The Whispers are an American R&B and soul vocal group formed in Los Angeles in the
1960s. They first gained recognition during the soul era with smooth harmonies and
energetic performances, later achieving major commercial success in the late 1970s and
1980s. Known for blending classic soul with funk and disco influences, the group scored
major hits such as And the Beat Goes On, Rock Steady, and It's a Love Thing. Their
polished vocal style and danceable grooves helped make them one of the most enduring

Atlantic Starr is an American R&B and soul group formed in the mid-1970s in White
Plains, New York. The band gained early recognition with dance-oriented R&B hits such
as Circles and Send for Me, before achieving major mainstream success in the 1980s
with smooth, romantic ballads. Their biggest hit, Always (1987), reached No. 1 on the
Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the era's most memorable love songs. Known for
