Recreating the loco-hauled trains to North Wales of the 1990s, where Class 37s would operate between Birmingham and Holyhead, our very own 37240 will be heading to Holyhead for the first time ever and Bangor for the first time in 30 years! The train will call at Llandudno Junction, where passengers can alight for Llandudno (passengers would need to take a service train there and back). This North Wales coastal town boasts a Victorian Pier and its own mini-mountain, Great Orme, which can be walked up or why not take the historic Great Orme Tramway.
Bangor is the oldest city in Wales and our second destination for passengers. Here passengers can visit the Cathedral, a site of Christian worship since the 6th Century, Garth Pier which like Llandudno’s is from the Victorian era, or one of the many galleries or local walks.
The final stop is Holyhead. Here there is plenty for passengers to see and do whether that is the Maritime Museum, Skinners Monument or why not have lunch by the sea.
