The Way of Flowers

Ikebana translated to ‘the way of flowers’ is a tradition of honouring nature and the seasons in relation to flower arranging.
Part art and part meditative practice, we’d love to share this tradition with the kindredpacket community.
The afternoon begins with a yoga practice fostering harmony between the yin and yang. David Kam will share an energising yet gentle flow and Lauren Tai will provide space to rest and restore through a yin practice focused on the season of summer and the associated fire element in traditional Chinese medicine.
Khin from The Flower Factory LDN will then take us through the principles of Ikebana as we learn to make our own mini bouquets to take away, bringing the beauty of nature into our homes.

Schedule:

• 3:15pm arrival
• 3:30pm welcome and yoga
• 4:30pm Ikebana sharing & flower arranging
• 5:15pm finish

What to bring:

• all you need are comfortable and warm clothes
