Learning how to market your story to publishers and agents can be hard. Join us as award winning novelist and professor Adrianne Finlay discusses her own experiences in working with one of the largest publishers in the nation, how she got there, and how you can find your own publishing avenues!
Wednesday, April 22: Critique Workshop
It's time to discuss our writing as a group! We invite participants to bring annotated print copies of each other's work to share. Copies of the workshop packets can be received by emailing [email protected] or stopping at the first floor Circulation Desk.
Wednesday, May 13: On Writing: Book Discussion
Join us for a discussion of the book On Writing by Stephen King, focusing on how its contents may influence or be useful to creative writers. Come prepared with thoughts or questions! Copies of the title can be picked up at the first floor Circulation Desk. Material for next session's critique workshop is due by this date, so please feel free to send digital copies to [email protected] or leave a paper copy at the reference desk. All submitted pieces must be typed and no more than 10 pages or 2000 words.
