Come and Learn all about the Hidden History of WW2 in New Brighton at the Historic Fort Perch Rock. Our WW2 Historian will take you on a Journey through Wartime and what life was like on the British Homefront and our Seaside Town.
Our Courtyard Talk will introduce you to the History of Fort Perch Rock before we head across the Drawbridge to the Rear of the Battery to overlook Liverpool Bay.
You will then learn about The Bombings of the Blitz, The arrival of the US Army, German Spies in Wallasey, Specialist Training, The AA Guns at the Red Noses, The Maunsell Forts in the River Mersey, local Rationing, The Dig for Victory Campaign, Ladies and their new duties, Evacuation, War Dances at the Tower Ballroom and All the Hidden History of the Seaside Resort. Following the Talk, Aunty Moe’s Wartime Scouse is on the Menu and Award Winning Titanic Ale is on Draft.
