About this Event
In the beginning of the 20th Century there were a few writer/thinkers who were not satisfied with the prevailing spiritual explanations of human life on earth. They began an exploration and rediscovery of older mystical ideals which the authorities of the time had deemed sacrilegious. In their examination of those ancient ideals, these men and women found a depth of spiritual insight that the modern world had rejected. Two men, P.D. Ouspensky and G.I. Gurdjieff, who came from the Eastern orthodoxy began, in 1915 until the mid 1940’s, teaching a new way of thinking. In the late 1970s and up until the early 1990s, the westerner V. Howard continued his work on the same subject.
This play, ‘Visit to a Bench’, brings those explorations into the life of one man, to share his path and discoveries.
