The Excelsior Springs Museum & Archives is privileged to announce it will be hosting the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall, coming in 2026 from Sept. 9-14. The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is an approximate 3/5-scale replica of the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall located in Washington, D.C. It stands six feet tall at the center and covers almost 300 feet from end to end. The memorial wall and the equipment for locating names will be located at James E. Piburn Ballfield, which is just off Penn Street and Broadway Avenue in downtown Excelsior Springs, MO, each day during the exhibit from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. A companion exhibit, "Not Forgotten," will open at the Museum Feb. 1, 2026, and run through Nov. 30, 2027. "Not Forgotten," will tell the story of the Vietnam War through the eyes of local service members and those affected on the homefront. The Excelsior Springs Museum & Archives is located at 101 East Broadway in historic downtown Excelsior Springs.
