COMMUNITY EXHIBITION
If you live, work, play or have ties to the Vic Park area, we welcome you to try your hand at portraiture to capture the faces, tales and diversity of this wondrous community!
The Vic Park Community Portrait Prize is open to all ages, stages and styles, with the only requirement being that both artist and subject must be connected to the Vic Park area. (https://www.victoriapark.wa.gov.au/about/town/places-and-maps/place-map-and-boundaries.aspx)
Beginners are highly encouraged to give it a go! Absolutely no experience required! And we really mean it: all ages are welcome as well as stages of artistic journey, approaches and styles of portraiture.
To encourage your creative process, we'll be running a series of PORTRAITURE WORKSHOPS led by the expert alumni of the prestigious Lester Prize. In these workshops the renowned artists will guide you through the techniques of how to capture people’s energy, story and spirit through a range of creative approaches, mediums and styles.
$10 per workshop (heavily subsidised)

Wednesday 24th April: 6pm - 8pm
Portraiture from life, step-by-step with Andrew Daly
Tuesday 30th April: 1pm - 3pm
Portraiture from life, step-by-step with Andrew Daly
Wednesday 1st May: 6pm - 8pm
1 more workshop in May to be announced soon!
Note: workshops are not necessary to attend to submit works to the Portrait Prize
