Independent Venue Week 2025 (27th Jan – 2nd Feb 2025) is the UK’s annual 7-day celebration of independent music & arts venues and the people that own, run and work in them.We thought this IVW would be a great opportunity to showcase up and coming bands from the South West.
THE VELVET HANDS - having supported the likes of Liam Gallagher, Frank Turner, Paul Weller, Yak, Wallows to name but a few. We think this year you will be seeing them headlining quite a few more of their own gigs. And we are sure they are destined for much bigger venues. So grab your chance to see them while you can in the intimate setting of our glorious Barrel House Ballroom here in Totnes.

THE VIVE
An up and coming Rock n Roll/indie band from Devon. High energy original music, with inspirations from Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, The Jam, The Who and The Stone Roses, bringing back guitar music and the sound of the new Rock n Roll generation. Their recent single “Take me away” gained recognition on BBC introducing and they will performing their latest release live at The Barrel House!! If you’ve seen The Vive play at Boardmasters festival or in London, at The Spice of Life, you’ll know you’ll be in for great night of new rock n roll music.
