Black Star Soccer presents: The Community Pick-Up
In partnership with The Urban Football League and Detroit City FCJoin us for a one-of-a-kind street soccer experience that brings together football, community, and culture—all with the goal of breaking down the barriers that have historically limited access to the beautiful game for African American communities.Set in The Commons, the iconic homecourt of The Urban Football League’s celebrated “Sundays” pickup series, this event is more than just a tournament—it’s a celebration of Black joy, movement, and creativity.

Live DJs spinning Detroit’s best sounds to keep the energy high

A space designed to welcome, uplift, and celebrate Black presence in footballWhether you're playing, spectating, or just pulling up to vibe—The Community Pick-Up is an open invitation to claim space, express yourself, and build community through the game we love.
