Join us for April's Film Club, when we'll be showing Kneecap.Kneecap is a lively, semi-fictional story about the rise of the Belfast rap trio of the same name. Blending comedy, music and political satire, the film follows how three young men turn their love of Irish language and hip-hop into a rebellious cultural movement.
Set in post-Troubles Belfast, it explores identity, language and youth culture while celebrating the power of music to challenge authority and bring communities together. Fast-paced and irreverent, Kneecap mixes real-life inspiration with playful storytelling, making it both a sharp social commentary and an entertaining underdog story.
All are welcome to come along to watch the film and join in with a short discussion afterwards. Hot and soft drinks, plus a sweet treat are provided, or you're welcome to bring along your favourite Friday evening tipple and take out from one of Rawtenstall's fabulous eateries.
There's no charge for the Film Club, though we do welcome a donation if you're able to do so.
