About this Event
If we hope to end the patterns of destruction created by the dominant cultures in our world, we have to start with neural mapping. What are we ignoring? How do we express our pain for the world? How can we unfix ourselves from our current patterns and dream a new world into being?
This workshop will guide participants through a series of activities inspired by the new film THE UNFIXING (in festivals now) and developed with Joanna Macy's methodology from The Work That Reconnects Expanded Spiral. We will be watching sneak peak clips of the film, writing for ourselves, and meditating. We will be moving through gratitude, honoring our pain for the world, seeing with new and ancient eyes, liberation, and moving forward.
About THE UNFIXING feature documentary film: A lyrical tapestry of life and landscape, THE UNFIXING reveals one mother’s path from illness to healing and from climate despair to environmental awakening. North American premiere at Cinequest FIlm Festival (March 15th); WORLD PREMIER at Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival; Belgrade Documentary Film Festival DOK#7; Millenium Festival in Brussels (April).
