The Underground Railroad Quilt Codes at the Tennessee Agricultural Museum

We are going to look at the impact of Quilt Codes on the Underground Railroad! Students will be able to make their own quilt patterns.
About this Event

Join us as we recognize Black History Month during February's First Friday educational program. We will discuss how Quilt Codes impacted the Underground Railroad! Students will be able to feel and observe a quilt from the museum's collection during the presentation. Once Miss Cheyenne is done, students will make their own quilt square using construction paper provided in various shapes. All materials needed for the craft are provided by the museum.

This is a free event, but reservations are required. Reservations are limited to individuals and families, please no group reservations. Age recommendations 2 - 13, but older students welcome . Paper and glue are involved in craft time.
