Ostatnia trasa koncertowa po czterech dekadach świętowania ukraińskiego folk punka!
Wiosną 2026 roku międzynarodowy zespół roots rockowy z Wielkiej Brytanii, The Ukrainians, wyruszy w swoją ostatnią trasę koncertową. Po prawie czterdziestu latach koncertowania po raz ostatni zaprezentują w Europie swój unikalny styl łączący ukraińskie korzenie z zachodnim rockiem. Zespół powstał w 1989 roku i był pierwszą grupą, która połączyła ukraińskie style folkowe z indie westernowym brzmieniem i zaprezentowała to światu muzycznemu. W czasach, gdy Ukraina nie była jeszcze niepodległym państwem, zespół propagował język ukraiński i motywy muzyczne wśród entuzjastycznej publiczności na całym świecie. Dzięki licznym trasom koncertowym w Wielkiej Brytanii, Niemczech, Francji, Polsce, Hiszpanii, Holandii i Kanadzie oraz występom na wielu prestiżowych festiwalach na całym świecie, The Ukrainians byli prekursorami w propagowaniu ukraińskiej kultury muzycznej na świecie. Ich muzyka, zawarta w ośmiu albumach studyjnych nagranych w ciągu 38 lat, odzwierciedla wszystkie zmiany, jakie zaszły na Ukrainie. Od walk o niepodległość, wpływów kultury zachodniej, problemów związanych z migracją, a ostatnio także rosyjskiej inwazji – The Ukrainians piszą piosenki opisujące losy narodu i kraju. Większość utworów zespołu jest autorstwa członków zespołu, ale znani są oni również ze swoich unikalnych coverów. Przez lata stworzyli dynamiczne wersje tradycyjnych ukraińskich pieśni ludowych oraz ukraińskojęzyczne wersje zachodnich klasyków rocka. The Smiths, The Sex Pistols i Motorhead to tylko niektóre z zespołów, których utwory zostały zinterpretowane na nowo przez The Ukrainians. Nowy album „Liberation”, który ukaże się wiosną 2026 roku, zawiera nowe utwory zmiksowane z najlepszymi utworami z dotychczasowego dorobku zespołu. Tytuł albumu jest inspirowany niedawnymi zmaganiami Ukrainy o utrzymanie wolności od dominacji swojego dawnego wroga. „Liberation” podkreśla również potrzebę, aby wszyscy ludzie mogli wyrażać siebie poprzez własną kulturę bez ingerencji zewnętrznych podmiotów – coś, o co walczyli mieszkańcy Europy i z czego korzystają od pokoleń.

Final tour after four decades celebrating Ukrainian folk punk!
In Spring 2026, the international roots rock band from UK, The Ukrainians, will be performing their final tour. After almost forty years of touring, they will bring their unique style of Ukrainian roots and Western rock to Europe for one last time. Beginning in 1989, the band were the first group to fuse Ukrainian folk styles with Indie western backing and present this to the music world. In the time before Ukraine was an independent country, the band were bringing Ukrainian language and musical themes to enthusiastic audiences around the world. With many tours in the UK, Germany, France, Poland, Spain, Netherlands, Canada, and performances at many of the world’s most prestigious festivals, The Ukrainians have been the forerunners in bringing Ukrainian musical culture to the world. With eight studio albums spanning 38 years, their music reflects all the changes that have been happening to Ukraine. From struggles for independence, western cultural influence, the problems of migration and more recently, the Russian invasion, The Ukrainians write songs cataloging the people’s and the nation’s journey. Most of the band's material is self composed, but they also are known for their unique cover versions. Over the years, they have produced dynamic versions of traditional Ukrainian folk songs, and Ukrainian language versions of western rock classics. The Smiths, The Sex Pistols, and Motorhead are just some of the groups whose songs have been re-interpreted by The Ukrainians. The new album ‘Liberation’ by spring 2026 features new songs mixed with the best of their back catalogue. The title is inspired by Ukraine’s recent struggles to remain free of the domination of its old enemy. ‘Liberation’ also acknowledges the need for all people to be able to express themselves through their own culture without interference by outside agencies - something that the people of Europe have struggled for and benefitted from for generations now.
