The Twisty Science ShowDo you like balloons? Do you like stories?
Then you will love The Twisty Science Show, a book reading with fun science balloon creations!
It is the story of how our DNA makes each one of us unique, told using fun and colourful balloon creations. It is based on the book, “What Makes You Unique” written by Dr Chloe Lim, a scientist who is also a professional balloon artist! Chloe is also a finalist on Channel 7's balloon competition show Blow Up.
This free event introduces children to genetics and how DNA makes us unique. Using the magic of balloon twisting, Chloe creates a fun learning experience for children to learn more about how their body works!
WHAT TO EXPECT
The show starts with an interactive and engaging book reading, using balloon creations that help engage the children's curiosity and interest.
This book reading is approximately 30 minutes and engages the children with questions and live balloon twisting.
Following the show is a demo by Chloe showing you how to extract DNA from strawberries.
This show lasts 45 minutes and is recommended for preschoolers, primary school children, and their parents/carers. Younger children are welcome. Adult supervision is required at all times.
Please register for every person attending to ensure enough seating for everyone.
