Nikki artfully shapes the music to her words, creating a sound that refuses to adhere to any one particular genre, somehow feeling old and new at the same time.
Nikki performs as a solo artist and with her four piece all-female band of fiddle, upright bass and hand drums weaving intricate textures and harmonies within her luscious soundscape.

The Twins of Franklin are a Folk/Rock band from Minneapolis, MN fronted by Becky Shaheen and Laura Lou DuSchane, two Minneapolis musicians who fell in love belting show tunes and classical arias together in a dorm room back in 2009. Over the past fifteen years, they have evolved into professional musicians, releasing multiple albums—both together and solo—and performing hundreds of shows as a dynamic duo. They have been enjoying the fruits of their labors following the successful release of their sophomore album "This Life" in May of 2024. They are excited to release their single 'bad one' in January 2026 between having a few more babies.
