Rooted in Justice & Joy: A Black Maternal Health Week Celebration

At TruDoulas, we believe that nutrition is a fundamental form of advocacy. Our mission is to put an end to maternal and infant mortality through education and support, one pregnancy at a time. To honor Black Maternal Health Week, we are proud to invite you to the grand launch of TruNourish.

What is TruNourish?

This event marks the official beginning of our dedicated nutritional support program. We are kicking off with a special celebration on April 17th, featuring:

Specialized Pregnancy & Postpartum Bags: Provided by Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS) of Mercer County through their dedication to end food insecurity, these bags are curated specifically for the nutritional needs of mothers.
Integrated Advocacy with United Way: While United Way will be joining us in person for future weekly distributions, we will have their essential SNAP and social service resource guides available on-site during the launch. These materials are designed to provide your family with the immediate advocacy tools and information needed to navigate essential benefits.
Diaper Giveaway: Essential bundles for your little ones (Registration required for size-matching).
Healing Water Station: Refreshing infusions and a 60-second "Health Brief" on using food as medicine.

Building the Village: Weekly Support

This isn't just a one-time giveaway—it’s the start of a movement. Moving forward, TruNourish will transition into a weekly distribution program. We are committed to being here for you every week, ensuring our Trenton mamas have the consistent nutritional resources and advocacy they deserve.
