Join us for the 20 year anniversary screening of the hit Sundance film by Emmy-nominated local filmmakers Tiffany Shlain & UC Berkeley Professor Ken Goldberg, The Tribe. The unorthodox, unauthorized history of the Barbie doll and the Jewish People explores the complex, humorous, and moving intersections of American Jewish identity and the Barbie doll.
The evening will include a screening of the 15 minute film, a discussion with the filmmakers and a performance from spoken word artist, Vanessa Hidary who is flying from New York for this occasion. It will be a great night of film, discussion and performance! with Emmy-nominated filmmakers Tiffany Shlain, Ken Goldberg & a special performance by Vanessa Hidary. Co-presented by Reboot.
