About this Event
P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome The Traveling Science Fiction & Fantasy Festival for their New York City stop.
Over two weeks and eight cities, Science Fiction & Fantasy authors with new releases will be hitting the road in “traveling book festival” style. Each night, they'll be making a stop at a new location to discuss a different aspect of this genre. They will be exploring how the genre is evolving, how our identities and backgrounds inform our own writing, and where we think SFF is headed. In some locations, local authors will join the discussion.
New York City's panelists will feature Micaiah Johnson, Matthew Kressel, Yume Kitasei, Veronica Roth, and Julia Vee!
They will discuss, "History and Speculation: How does history and speculation inform science fiction and fantasy as a genre and use as writers? What ideas do we find ourselves returning to? How do we approach the research? What draws us to poke at the edges of time?"
