Have you ever traveled a long distance to attend a quilt show or classes? Ella Herrera will be the featured speaker at the Metro Atlanta Contemporary Quilters monthly guild meeting, Sunday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. at Tiny Stitches Quilt Shop in Marietta. Ella will present, "A Quilters Affair and Sisters Quilt Show: Nuts and Bolts or Why I Travel for Quilty Experiences."
She'll talk about her adventures traveling to Sisters, Oregon, for The Stitching Post's amazing annual outdoor show. She'll share her experiences attending Quilter's Affair, the week of classes before the big show. She'll also tell us how she ended up going and why she keeps going back.
We'll get updates on the launch of our new collaborate projects, the Round Robin and Telephone quilts. We'll also talk about upcoming field trips, programs and our fall block lotto.
Guests and prospective members are welcome. Our guild allows two free visits for anyone who is interested in becoming a quilter or wants to connect with other quilters (both modern and traditional) in north Georgia.
DM us with any questions and bring something you've been working on for Show & Tell!
