About this Event
Theater recovers meaning from what is seen and remembered, our memories recover meaning from the past and carry it forward. For us in the present, memories are the closest thing we have to time travel.
Inspired by findings at The August Wilson Archive, The Time Travel Agency presents Recollections, the first production of Speculative Theater in the world!
Together with the University of Pittsburgh Library System we are hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate our theater (currently in construction) and to see the first act of Recollections.
Join us for an evening of time traveling, playwriting, and memories.
Anyone who enters the experience affects it; time traveling starts promptly at 6:30pm.
This is an experience that is neither theater, nor an exhibition, nor a workshop.
Memories will serve as your time-traveling devices.
Come as you are– you already have what is needed.

The August Wilson Archive Community Artist-Scholar program provides support and incentive for local artists and scholars to explore the August Wilson Archive and create an artistic/creative work to share with the community.
The Time Travel Agency helps people reach futures of their own where they possess agency and feel happy to be alive. Recollections features Arin Pantja and Shannon Wei Lee.
