For over 30 years FUNGUS has served as Western Pennsylvania's premier jam band, featuring a tribute to the Grateful Dead and the everlasting legacy of Jerry Garcia. Fungus specializes in recreating the festive atmosphere that followed the Dead to each of their concerts. With an ever-changing set list, FUNGUS shows are fresh, fun and full of surprises at every turn. Motivated by the joyous response of the audience, the band always kicks it into high gear. In their short time together Harmony Junction has already made waves in the bluegrass community with their studio recordings garnering regular rotation on local radio shows. While their instrumentation harkens back to the early days of folk string bands, they have pushed the boundaries of traditional with their original compositions by infusing elements of bluegrass, newgrass, jazz, funk, fusion and improvisation to define a new genre of acoustic music.
