Join us for a staged reading of "The Three Jessies" by Jessie Seigel. In this political comedy made for our absurd times, Jessie and Jessica are in their living room in middle America. Jessica comfortably deplores the world’s woes, while Jessie simply wants to play, creating artistic works. But when demonstrators and the self-proclaimed rebel Jessie James arrive on their street, revolution turns the world topsy-turvy.This staged reading features renowned DMV actors Emily Morrison, Hyla Matthews, and Yvonne Paretsky, with stage directions read by Rick Foucheux. The playwright, actors, and producers are all donating their time and talents.
100% of the gross proceeds of this event will be donated to Free DC, as it builds the movement to stop interference in DC home rule and win dignity for DC communities.
