Keynote from Shannon O'Neill, Curator for Tamiment-Wagner Collections.
Musical Performance from Max Bennett-Parker, grandson of Lincoln Vet Max Parker
In December 2024, grandchildren of the veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade came together with the broader ALBA community to share memories and discuss what it means to carry on the legacy of the vets.
We are bringing the grands together again with our larger community again on Sunday, December 7th, with the theme of The Things We Carry. We're going to be talking about stuff -- artifacts and mementos passed down from the vets, what they meant for them and what they mean for us now. We’ll be joined by Shannon O'Neill, Curator for Tamiment-Wagner Collections, to present on the archival material from the vets and speak with some of the grands about the things they carry.
We’ll end the event with singing and a reception. Please join us!
