Join us for the launch of a new report analysing the health, wellbeing and future of Technology and Design in Northern Ireland, conducted by Stranmillis University College, St. Mary's University College, and Ulster University, following on from a landmark conference that took place at Stranmillis University College in June 2025.
The report brings together research evidence, teacher perspectives and stakeholder engagement to examine the evolving role of Technology and Design in schools. It traces the subject’s development, highlights key challenges—including misconceptions, resource inequality and curricular identity—and presents a forward-looking vision rooted in problem-based learning and innovation.
The launch event will showcase the report’s key findings and recommendations, and provide space for discussion on how T&D can be strengthened to support learners, the future workforce and Northern Ireland’s wider economy.
