The Talking Stick Women’s CircleTM is not your typical women’s circle. It’s about connecting women to eachother, love and support, belonging, and most of all being heard. This circle allows women to create authentic relationships with themselves and other women creating a strong bond and community. We gather together to find ourselves, to create belonging through community. We have seen it so many times how women have been pitted against eachother in competition. This has hurt us all, and now it is time to heal those sister wounds and come together. This is a place where women can express themselves and be confident that she will be heard and supported without judgement.We will explore belonging in this first circle, what were the wounds of belonging, how did it affect our lives, how do we grow from here and so much more. There will be sharing, meditation and ritual to bond us together.
The Talking Stick Women’s CircleTM is also part of a greater mission of the Sistership Circle to have one million circles around the world. The reason for this is that it is the tipping point for patriarchy to become a more creative, collaborative and connected society. Being part of this greater movement can change our world for the better.
The meaning of the Talking Stick: The Talking Stick is an ancient Aboriginal tool for healing relationships through learning to listen to others and to speak your truth. We have asked permission from Indigenous friends to use the Talking Stick to help connect people to one another and to begin dialogue through listening.
