The Strong Friend Meet-Up - Safe Space Expo was created to promote the concept of Mental Health & Holistic Wellness being a necessity for an improved life. SFM, expands on the idea that our Strong Friends need outlets and tools for themselves, in order to cope with their own issues or hurdles. Additionally, SFM acknowledges that fact Strong Friends are vital and will also provide ways to improve their lives as that outlet for others. Overall, the space is designed to give comfort from the platform that “YOU are not alone!”

MISSION

Our goal with The Strong Friend Meet-Up, is to provide resources, tactical tools, and support to the community; our focus being geared towards the Black & Brown Community from the stance that “It’s your time to take control”. The commitment we have to Black & Brown communities being centric within the expo, is derived from the knowledge that these individuals want, need, and in some cases require guidance as well as, permission to embrace their higher selves. The SFM mission is to provide access to therapeutic treatment options, tools, and resources that will assist in the process of self awareness. SFM, wants each attendee to have their internal exit ticket stamped with the seal that says: You are seen, heard, loved, and cared for.

OFFERINGS

The SFM - Safe Space Expo is a 2-day event that will include the following:

• Impact Workshops
• Breakout Sessions including a physical fitness session entitled “Fitness IS Holistic Wellness”
• In depth Panel Discussions
• Fireside Chats
• Art Activations provided by Operations Arts
• Wellness Resource Fair to include:

A retail space filled with vendors that provide products and services catered to mental and holistic wellness owned & operated by Black/Minority businesses

Vendors providing food and beverage options that promote Mindful Eating

At SFM - Safe Space Expo, we are intent on providing attendees with access to genuine knowledge through transparency and specific resources from organizations with an aim to help each person become their best self. With that as our model, discussions, workshops, activations, and sessions will be led by licensed professionals and industry specialists.
