Folk Music - Wednesday January 14th 2026
Our popular Acoustic Music Night, hosted by
THE STRING SECTION, returns on Wednesday 14th January. Doors open at 7.30 pm, with music from 8.00–10.00 pm.
Held on the second Wednesday of each month (except August), last year's performances were memorable, with the club's intimate atmosphere making each evening special. The 2026 programme (see below) promises more of the same, with several favourite acts returning.
Entry is free, with a cash jar passed round to support the musicians—so please bring some cash.
To launch the New Year, we're presenting a Showcase featuring three guest acts: Rhys Wilson, Bob & Jan Croft, and Lizzie Taylor & Hugh Boyde. Expect a lively mix of traditional, modern, and self‑penned tunes and songs from top notch local musicians.
Performers often remark on the club's warm, friendly atmosphere, and many call it Cambridge's secret musical venue. Audience numbers have steadily grown, with the final session of 2025 packed to the rafters—a wonderful end to the year.
