The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a 1-day nationally recognised qualification designed to give learners the essential skills to manage workplace emergencies confidently and safely.

This course is delivered and certificated by our highly trusted partner trainer - Safe Haven First Aid Training.



🩹 Core Course Content
  1. Role of the First Aider
    – Responsibilities, reporting, and infection control.
  2. Assessing an Incident
    – Scene safety, casualty assessment, and calling for help.
  3. Unconscious Casualty Management
    – Recovery position and airway maintenance.
  4. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    – Adult CPR and safe use of an AED (defibrillator).
  5. Choking
    – Recognition and treatment for choking adults.
  6. Wounds and Bleeding
    – Control of bleeding, dressings, and shock management.
  7. Minor Injuries
    – Cuts, grazes, splinters, and minor burns/scalds.
  8. Seizures
    – Managing a casualty having a seizure.

  • Accredited and nationally recognised qualification (meets HSE requirements).
  • Valid for 3 years.
