About this Event
Bone health is often addressed too late—typically after meaningful changes have already occurred. Yet the most significant shifts begin much earlier, during the years many women are not yet thinking about it.
The Strength Beneath is a 3.5-hour, expert-led workshop offering a deep dive into bone health and body composition across the female lifespan. This is not a general wellness talk—it is an evidence-informed, practical exploration of what is happening in your body and how to respond with intention.
You may already be taking steps to support your health—lifting weights, taking calcium, or making thoughtful lifestyle choices. While important, these are often only part of a much more complex picture.
In this workshop, you will explore:
- How bone health changes across the lifespan
- Your personal risk factors and what screening tools can (and cannot) tell us
- The role of nutrition and supplementation
- How movement and biomechanics influence bone strength
- Common misconceptions, including an evidence-based look at hormone therapy
Attendees will also have the option to access discounted, clinical-grade DEXA scans through Camosun College Athletic and Exercise Therapy Clinic. This optional add-on provides an opportunity to gain precise insight into your bone density, muscle mass, and body composition, further enhancing your ability to apply what you learn in a meaningful and personalized way.
Register before April 24th for a chance to win 1 of 4 complimentary scans.
