The Streets of Detroit featuring Mark Hall - IES Detroit February Meeting

Detroit’s Public Lighting Authority (PLA) is upgrading next generation LED streetlights incorporating best and latest practices influence by the IES. This includes moving from the original 5000k LED street lights to 3000k and 2700k color temp on all new street lights. Improving visual comfort, reducing glare, and even introducing dark sky compliant luminaires, where feasible, are being implemented .
