The Stray Horses and The Shrewsbury Horns present "Across the Great Divide" - A celebration of The Band and their 1978 concert film, The Last Waltz. The Stray Horses are a Maine-based band dedicated to bringing the ever-vital and visceral music of the 1960's and 1970's to life on stages in New England and beyond. Their curated full-album performances are heartfelt celebrations of iconic artists, the eras they defined, and the stories behind the songs. Recent productions have included: Let it Be - The Beatles (1970), Harvest - Neil Young (1972), Tapestry - Carole King (1971), Running on Empty - Jackson Browne (1977), Cosmo's Factory - Creedence Clearwater Revival (1970), Nebraska - Bruce Springsteen (1982) and The Band (The Brown Album) - The Band (1969). The group has earned particular acclaim for their deep-dive Neil Young shows, having performed full concerts of both well-known and lesser-known albums including: Everybody Knows This is Nowhere, On the Beach, Tonight's the Night, Time Fades Away, Comes a Time, Ragged Glory, Zuma and Harvest Moon.
The band also collaborates with a wide range of veteran and emerging singer-songwriters to present and record original music inspired by the timeless spirit of the classic artists they honor. @the_stray_horses
