From "Stray Cat Strut" to "Rock This Town," the unmistakable sound of rockabilly revival roars into Lakeside this summer as Lee Rocker takes the Hoover Auditorium stage. As a founding member of the Grammy-nominated Stray Cats, Rocker helped ignite the 1980s rockabilly resurgence with a throwback style that sold more than 10 million albums and earned 23 gold and platinum records worldwide.
Singing, spinning and even standing atop his giant upright bass, he became one of rock’s most electrifying showmen. In 2022, Bass Player magazine named him one of the "Greatest of All Time" among the top 100 bassists ever.
Now, Rocker takes the stage with his band for a night of Stray Cats favorites, rock & roll classics and music from a career that includes collaborations with Ringo Starr, George Harrison, John Fogerty and The Rolling Stones.
