About this Event
For SF Beer Week 2026, the regional chapters of the Bay Area Brewers Guild collaborated on a six-beer series that tells the story of modern IPA — from 2000 to 2030.
On Tuesday, February 24, Taplands is pouring all six.
Each beer captures a different era in IPA history — not as a nostalgia piece, but as a fresh “cover song” interpretation of how the style has evolved, been debated, refined, and reinvented over the last 25 years (and where it might be headed next).
The Lineup:
• Nick Was Nine Years Old (IPA 2000) – Bartlett Hall
• One Hour IPA 2005 – Brix Factory
• Give Me A Break West Coast IPA (2010) – Discretion Brewing
• Topper Hazy IPA (2015) – Headyworks
• Bright Future West Coast IPA (2025) – Old Caz Beer
• Hazy Future (2030) – Narrative Fermentations
Six IPAs. Six eras. One night.
Whether you’ve been drinking IPA since the early 2000s or just discovered the style, this is a rare chance to taste the full arc of 21st-century IPA in a single sitting.
Come take a trip through hop history with us. 🍻
