About this Event
We don’t enter relationships empty-handed.
We carry stories — about closeness, conflict, independence, disappointment, safety, and what love is allowed to feel like.
Some we learned growing up. Some were shaped by heartbreak. Some once protected us… but now quietly limit what’s possible.
And often, we don’t realize they’re there.
In this engaging and gently interactive afternoon, relationship coach and author Joëlle Lydon guides participants through a thoughtful exploration of the hidden narratives shaping their relational lives. Drawing from her book Unbreakable Us: Removing the Barriers to Love and over 15 years of working with individuals and couples, Joëlle offers a new way to understand repeating patterns — not as personal failures, but as learned strategies that can be updated.
Through short teaching moments, guided reflection, and optional writing prompts, you’ll begin to put language to what you’ve sensed but couldn’t quite name.
No writing experience is required.
This is not a writing critique or therapy session — it’s a space for clarity, insight, and honest self-connection.
You’ll leave with:
- Greater awareness of your relationship patterns
- Language for recurring dynamics and reactions
- A clearer understanding of what you actually want in connection
- A practical starting point for changing old relational loops
- An opportunity to take it to the next step.
Whether you’re single, partnered, dating, or simply curious about yourself, this evening offers a thoughtful and compassionate entry point into understanding love differently — and relating with more choice.
Come as you are. Curiosity is enough.
