About this Event
Join us for an impactful afternoon of dialogue over lunch at the State of Black America Address, featuring Marc H. Morial, President and CEO of the National Urban League (NUL), on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the University Club of Memphis (1346 Central Ave).
General tickets are $50. VIP tickets are $75 and include early access to the event and a meet-and-greet with Morial at 11 am.
The State of Black America® is the annual signature reporting of the NUL. Since its first appearance in 1976 under the stewardship of the late Mr. Vernon E. Jordan Jr., the organization’s fifth president, the State of Black America® remains one of the most highly anticipated benchmarks and sources for thought leadership around economics, employment, education, health, housing, criminal justice and civic participation.
Following Mr. Morial’s keynote, the program will feature a powerful panel discussion with Tennessee House Minority Leader Karen Camper, Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, and Memphis Mayor Paul Young.
