About this Event
With its swirling composition of the sky and the melancholic blue color palette, Vincent van Gogh's "The Starry Night" is one of the world's most recognizable and beloved works of art. It was painted in Saint-Rémy in southern France, while Van Gogh was seeking respite from plaguing depression at the Saint-Paul asylum. On the inspiration for The Starry Night, Van Gogh wrote, “This morning I saw the countryside from my window a long time before sunrise, with nothing but the morning star, which looked very big.”
In this three-hour painting workshop, the instructor will guide you through the process to explore the techniques, emotions, styles behind this iconic masterpiece, while encouraging you to infuse your own unique touch into your creation. By the end of the workshop, you will get a stunning piece of the starry night to bring home as a reminder of your artistic journey.
No prior painting experience is necessary. Whether you're a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time, this workshop is tailored to all skill levels. We will be painting using acrylic paint on a framed stretched canvas of size (8 x 8 inches or 8 x 10 inches.) All art material will be provided from our side.
