How silences, structure, and shape give poems their power. This drop-in chillout session explores how silence and space can add an extra dimension of meaning to your poems, focusing on line breaks, enjambment, and the power of evocation over explanation.
Using examples from well-known poets alongside haiku, tanka, and other short forms of poetry, this casual and relaxed session will showcase poems that experiment with form and visual layout to create writing that is emotively engaging for the reader.
There will also be fun and informal writing prompts if you’d like to have a go at writing your own mindful poems.
