About this Event

is a singer songwriter based in Charlotte NC. He has been heavily involved in the local original music scene most of his adult life. He is also a Luthier who owns and operates Smiling Moon Guitars.

Kevin’s songs range from the emotional and thought-provoking to clever and humorous sing-alongs. His incorporation of the Weissenborn lap steel guitar adds the perfect texture to his “Southern-Gothic style” story-telling.

With his band, The J-Walkers, Kevin recorded & co-produced his 2015 release, Am I Missing Something. Marshall received The Queen City Award for best Americana/Folk artist in 2017. He is currently working on new music, recording and performing with various regional artists.

Charlotte-based singer/songwriter, is a purveyor of the story song. Joe's songs fall somewhere between coffee house folk and alt-country troubadour, drawing from influences ranging from Springsteen to Isbell and Petty to Earle.

Joe's material tackles both social and political issues, with an eye to the past and a reflection of the present. According to Middleton, “I wanna create art that celebrates justice and calls out injustice.”

His wise baritone voice and warm finger-style playing, provide a lush soundscape for these very listener-friendly tunes.

After years of fronting various bands, Middleton ultimately stepped out on his own in 2019 with his first solo recording, Highway Tremolo. Joe was awarded Summit Coffee Songwriter of the year for 2021. He is currently working on material his next project.
