Seating is general admission. Doors open at 6:30, 30 minutes prior to curtain. We recommend you arrive when the doors open to be able to pick your preferred seats.
SYNOPSIS
The hills are alive with the sound of music this Fall 2024 with the James Island Players! The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.
The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. Join the family Von Trapp in the true-life telling of one of history’s most thrilling and inspirational stories. Featuring the Tony, Grammy and Academy Award-winning Best Score, including “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “Edelweiss” and the title song.
