If exploring is in your nature, and you love running off road, then you will love these races.
The Soul Breaker 10 has become a firm favourite amongst the local trail runners and with good reason, with a bit of everything imaginable, it's got something for everyone.

Both routes are fully marked out with around 200 arrows across the course.
The start is at Aspirations Outdoor Adventures at 1000 feet above sea level, after navigating a few farm fields, both routes drop down to the top of Cwmpengraig at a little over 200 feet before climbing a short way back up to Penboyr church at 550 feet to the first check point. This is the half way point for the 10km race which is an out and back. returning you straight back up "that' long slog to the start for a total of 900 feet of ascent.

For those taking on the 10 miler, after the first check point, head back with the 10km runners before taking a right turn 200 meters from the church, now the route gets even more exciting, dropping you down to 150 feet above sea level, and through the trails of 3 other villages. with climbs never reaching much higher than 400 feet, you would be forgiven for thinking this 4 mile loop doesn't produce many challenges, but with nearly 1000 feet of extra ascent to accumulate on top of the 10km route, these 'little' climbs are relentless and will definitely let your legs and lungs know they are working. With heavy legs you will get a brief rest bite at the second (and last) check point approximately 6 miles in. before tackling the final 'challenges' that will join you back onto the 10km route and back to the start for an impressive 1800+feet of ascent gained.

Due to the nature of this event, we must insist that runners who are taking part wear appropriate trail shoes with adequate grip for steep and muddy terrain as well as fields and stoney tracks.

Everyone taking part will be rewarded with a bespoke medal, our famously super tasty soup and cakes. And a welcome that will make you feel like your already a part of the family.

The winning Male and Female in both distances will also receive an extra special prize, with any records being broken winning the runner a free entry into next years race!

DOING OUR BIT- In order to reduce plastic waste, our checkpoints will be self service. Simply put, if you wish to have a drink you will need to bring a water container with you, either a water bottle or a folding cup, we will supply water in large containers that you can use, all snacks will be unwrapped and either be vegan or vegetarian friendly.

ANYONE FOUND LITTERING WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
