A Beginner Friendly Mahjong Lesson with The Social SHIFT
Join us for a relaxed and fun afternoon learning the game everyone is talking about. Whether you’ve been curious about Mahjong or ready to finally sit at the table with confidence, this event is for you.
We will be in Downtown McKinney at the Landon Winery. Our event requires a ticket so we can prepare an engaging environment where the goal is for you to have fun while meeting new friends!
✨ How the afternoon flows
We’ll kick things off with the first 30 minutes dedicated to getting to know one another. Expect easy conversation, laughter, and a welcoming environment that makes meeting new women feel natural.
After that, our Mahjong instructor will guide us through the game step by step. No experience required. You’ll learn the basics, key terminology, and how the game flows so you can actually enjoy playing without feeling overwhelmed.

💫 What Is The Social Shift 💫
The Social Shift is a women’s social club created to help women make real friendships in adulthood.We believe the friendship gap often happens around age 30 when life gets busy and meeting new people stops feeling easy.
The Social Shift was created in August 2025 and is going strong.Our events are intentionally designed to remove the awkwardness and make it easier to show up, feel welcomed, and build genuine connections.
You do not need to come with a friend. Many women attend solo and leave with new ones.
