This Brighton Fringe 2026 we’re super happy to welcome back the awesome Comedy PowerPoint presentations from Chris Parkinson and Ben Bailey, taking a nerdy deep dive into the minutiae of politics and pop culture! If you missed them last time, now’s your chance – and if you’ve seen them before, so much has happened on the internet that you’re still going to learn loads and slit your sides laughing!Ben and Chris have discovered the internet and now they can’t stop. Join them for a whimsical tour of pop culture’s lesser-known niches as they brain-dump their gratuitous “research” in a series of hilarious PowerPoint lectures, with different bizarro topics each night.
“Ben Bailey and Chris Parkinson make a perfect double act, combining the best elements of stand-up with weird, funny and fascinating PowerPoint lectures. Who wouldn’t want to know more about tapirs and board games called Baconopoly?”
(David Bramwell, Catalyst Club)
Previous events have delved deep into detective fiction, conspiracy theories, power ballads, survivalist manuals, dystopian sci-fi, weird animals and the eating habits of politicians (!?). This Brighton Fringe special features new talks and a fresh format allowing for even more amusing and intriguing minutiae. Each talk concludes with a Q&A and the opportunity to put your hosts on the spot.
“Chris Parkinson and Ben Bailey have both given awesome talks at the Bavard Bar, on topics as diverse as the eating habits of politicians, Tintin, board games and zines. The prospect of a double-act from them is salivating. Check this event out, you’ll be in for a visual and audible treat.”
(Tim Crook, Bavard Bar)
