The Sleeping Beauty Ballet Synopsis
In the Palace, everybody is preparing for Aurora's christening, all the fairies from the realm were invited as godmothers of the princess. However, King Floristan's master of ceremonies forgets to invite Carabosse, an ancient fairy who has not been heard from in many years.
At the christening, all fairies present Aurora with gifts, qualities they will bestow on the young princess. Just when the last and most powerful fairy, the Lilac Fairy, is about to present her gift, Carabosse arrives in a rage at being overlooked. She bestows a curse on Aurora: on her 16th birthday, she will prick her finger on a spindle and die. But the Lilac Fairy has not bestow her gift yet, just then she cast a counterspell: Aurora will not die, she will fall in a deep sleep until a prince wakes her with a true love kiss.
As Carabosse and the Lilac Fairy predicted, on Aurora's 16th birthday, she pricks her finger on a spindle and falls asleep.
Join Orlando Metropolitan Ballet Academy to discover how Prince Desiree fights Carabosse's illusions and enchantments and wakes Aurora.
