Date: February 20, 2025Time: 7-8:15PM ESTSpeaker: Susan Frizsell, Founder, FabFriz Education Hosted by: Dr. Scott Mesh, Director, Young Child LearningFormat: Online Webinar
Webinar Description:
Learn easy ways to incorporate the six skills simply by choosing the best books (that kids LOVE) that naturally work best with teaching each skill. Susan Frizsell, expert storyteller, will suggest book titles that have been huge read-aloud hits with all of the kids she has read to. As a bonus, Susan will sneak in a few tips to grab kids' attention back to the story, so that you can teach! You’ll also gain insights into why these books are so effective, and how they align perfectly with each of the six pre-literacy skills. Whether you're a seasoned educator or new to teaching, you'll leave this webinar with practical ideas and a refreshed approach to making storytime both fun and educational.

Objectives:
The participants will be able to…
-> Identify and define the 6 pre-literacy skills
-> Use kid-approved books that work best to teach each pre-literacy skill
-> Use strategies that will improve read-aloud skills to use the very next day they teach.
