In this informative and practical session, Sash & Case expert Robbie Forrest will guide us through everything we need to know about restoring and maintaining our Sash & Case windows to stay warm and save on bills this winter - without having to replace your windows.
T he workshop will cover:
- History and proper use of S&C windows
- General maintenance (how to clean, paint, putty repair)
- Draught proofing and thermal efficiency information
- Sash & Case health check / warning signs
- Health & Safety
- When to call a professional and how to be informed on your options
About the trainer:
Robbie Forrest established RF Restoration in 2013 after Graduating in Fine Art at Edinburgh College of Art alongside an apprenticeship in traditional Painting & Decorating. With a passion for restoration and in particular the Sash & Cases that adorn our local architecture, Robbie focusses on blending traditional methods with contemporary tools to prove that there's never been a stronger argument to restore and not replace.
