The secret lives of planetary nebulaePlanetary nebulae are among the most beautiful objects in the night sky. But they hide a secret. The nebulae mark the final evolution of stars like the Sun. As Lawrence Aller remarked, planetary nebulae are wreaths placed by Nature around dying stars. In this talk we will take a look at recent new images obtained with the James Webb Space Telescope and discuss what they reveal about the nebulae and about the stars behind the wreaths.
