A graduate of Memphis College or Art, Rose Marr vividly captures the essence of her portraiture subject with a unique and captivating technique of crayon on wood panel. She has been an art teacher as well as an artist. Her works have been shown at Hattiloo Theater in the Incognito event at Memphis Botanic Garden, and Women in the Arts program at the Dixon. Both her mother and her late husband Carl Scott were artists, and both were tremendous inspirations for her.
The show will be on view Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from May 8 – June 26. All works are for sale unless otherwise specified with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Church Health.
