27 Years of Holiday Magic on the Rails! For over 25 years, the Santa Train: Christmas in a Small Town has been a beloved Lackawanna Valley tradition, spreading joy, music, and the spirit of giving to families along the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. The train stops in Carbondale at 10:30 a.m., continues to Archbald at 11:35 a.m., then to Jessup at 12:20 p.m., Olyphant at 1 p.m., and Dickson City at 1:45 p.m., before Santa and Mrs. Claus make their grand finale arrival at Steamtown. The celebration wraps up in Scranton at 2:30 p.m.—don’t miss the magic! This year marks the 27th run of this cherished event, presented by Lackawanna Heritage Valley and its dedicated partners who keep the tradition alive.
Don’t forget to bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots — and let’s make this year the most heartwarming ride yet (even if you’re waving from the platform!).
