ABOUT THE MOVIE
When Scottie Smalls moves to a new neighborhood, he manages to make friends with a group of kids who play baseball at the sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures. The boys run into trouble when Smalls borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over a fence. (1993)

Join us this summer at Midtown Cinema as Friends of Midtown hosts another fantastic series of FREE movie screenings in the cinema parking lot. 2023 marks the 9th annual FREE OUTDOOR FILM SERIES! Bring your own lawn chair and a donation for GLO HBG's community pantry and the Ecumenical Food Pantry, get some Midtown Cinema popcorn and ice cream, grab a Zeroday Brewing Co. beer and hot dog, and enjoy a great film on a summer night! Movies start at dusk. No outside food or drink, please.

Located in Midtown, at 6th and Forster, The Ecumenical Food Pantry is one of the largest food pantries in Dauphin County, providing emergency food assistance to, on average, 1775 people per month and over 21,300 per year (20% under 18 years old). While the EFP always accepts food and monetary donations, one of their biggest needs is personal hygiene items. These types of items cannot be acquired through the Central PA Food Bank, and can't be purchased with grant money
GLO HBG is a community resource center serving LGBTQ+ men of color and trans women of color. They provide free and confidential services such as STI/HIV testing, virtual therapy, access to PrEP, and access to their space on 3rd St that is outfitted with a lounge area, work stations, a dining area and kitchenette, gender-neutral restrooms, showers, and a food and hygiene pantry.
The five biggest hygiene item needs are as follows:
